Hakuba47 Ski Resort has a special New Years Day event each year. The resort holds several events over the course of the day for all ages. Children can enjoy a gift treasure hunt, mochi pounding, and bingo. Meanwhile adults can enjoy the traditional ritual of sake drinking.
The event takes place at the base of Hakuba47 resort's gondola. However anyone who wishes to ride the gondola will have to purchase a lift ticket.
